SPW Partners SPW's work would not be possible without a number of key partnerships; in particular Government organisations, other NGOs and Donors. The Government support comes from a variety of departments, including the Ministry for Education and Culture, and TACAIDS, who regularly cite SPW as an example of best practice. We also receive support from regional, district and school and community level authorities. SPW also works alongside other NGOs; this helps us to maximise the effectiveness of our two programmes. Our programmes work to bring about behaviour change, but it is crucial that the environment is receptive to these changes. A recent example is our work with PSI to ensure condom availability in our programme areas. The financial support from donors is crucial to our work. We are also indebted to them for the role they play in helping SPW grow and improve. |

"SPW Programmes are: affirmative and help youth celebrate good health; non-controversial, high profile and enjoy the support of national figures; highly participatory, involving stakeholders ranging from government to school children." World Bank 2002: Education and HIV/AIDS: A Window of Hope |
